Electrical Engineering Technology - Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track)

SALARY RANGE:

$75,000-$85,000

Description of Duties

Are you passionate about shaping the next generation of electrical engineers? The Canino School of Engineering Technology invites applications for a full-time position as Assistant Professor tenure track for ABET-accredited electrical engineering technology program. A non-tenure track lecturer full-time position depending on qualification and experience will also be considered. The candidate will be expected to teach courses include microprocessors, microcontrollers, and digital systems. The contribution to quality improvement practices that support program improvement and ETAC/ABET accreditation is the responsibility of all electrical engineering technology faculty members.

Responsibilities

Teach online and face-to-face classes, including applied laboratory courses, offer guidance and advice to students, engage in innovative teaching methods, and contribute to applied scholarly activities related to technological problems and societal needs. Qualifications

Required:

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology, Electronics Engineering/Technology, or Computer Engineering.
  • Knowledge of microprocessors, microcontrollers, digital systems, and electronics.
  • At least three years of teaching experience.
  • Ph.D. required for tenure-track position.

Preferred:

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum three years of related industrial experience.
  • Experience with ABET accreditation.

Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, and criminal background check.
