Description of Duties
Are you passionate about Information Technology and Computer Information Systems? Do you desire to share your knowledge and expertise with the next generation of IT professionals? If so, SUNY Canton invites you to join our team as an Information Technology and Computer Information Systems Lecturer.
Responsibilities
As a Lecturer at SUNY Canton, you will have the unique opportunity to educate and inspire the next generation of IT professionals. You will be pivotal in equipping our students with the latest technology and industry insights, ensuring they are well-prepared for career success. Our expectations are for face-to-face classes with some opportunities for online instruction.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of industry experience in Information Technology or Computer Information Systems.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Past college-level teaching experience is preferred.
- Background in help desk service, proficiency in coding in multiple programming languages, and network administration skills are highly desirable.
Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, and criminal background check.
