Honors Lists
President’s Honors Lists will include the names of the full-time students who earn semester GPA’s of 3.75 or higher. To be eligible, students must be enrolled in 12 or more credit hours. The President’s Honors List includes students taking imputed or remedial-level courses and students taking pass/fail courses if fewer than 3-credit hours.
Dean’s Honors Lists will include the names of full-time students who earn semester GPA’s of 3.25 or higher. To be eligible, students must be enrolled in 12 or more credit hours. The Dean’s Honors List includes students taking imputed or remedial-level courses and students taking pass/fail courses if fewer than 3-credit hours.
Part-Time Academic Honors Lists will include the names of part-time, matriculated students who earn semester GPA’s of 3.25 or higher. To be eligible, students must complete 6 or more credit hours. The Part-Time Academic Honors List includes students taking imputed or remedial-level courses and students taking pass/fail courses if fewer than 3-credit hours.
At the end of each Fall and Spring semester, Honors Lists will be prepared by the Registrar’s Office and sent to the Office of Public Relations for distribution to the news media. Media releases will not include the names of students who have restricted the release of directory information pursuant to FERPA.
Students who have earned cumulative grade point averages as listed below will be designated for Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, or Summa Cum Laude on their diplomas:
- Cum Laude ~ 3.250-3.499
- Magna Cum Laude ~ 3.500-3.749
- Summa Cum Laude ~ 3.750-4.000
