Solar Training

Are you interested in the how and why of Photovoltaic Systems? If you have an existing system or would like to explore how they work, let us help you. Spend a few evenings with SUNY Canton’s Electrical Construction instructor discovering how these systems work with hands-on training. You will learn how to measure the electricity, understand the safety of high voltage direct current to alternating current, and how shading, open, and short circuits affect panel performance. You will experience what it is like to create a site plan for panel layouts on our mock roof and lay out your plan for your home.

The instruction is a partnership between the Center for Workforce, Community & Industry Partnerships and the Adirondack North Country Association, with funding support from NYSERDA.
