RC Engineering STEM Camp

Join us this summer in the driver’s seat for intense fender-to-fender, high-flying off-road action where you will retrofit an RC car to improve drive time. Campers will engage in sustainability and learn how modifications, including tires and solar charging can impact the performance of a vehicle. At the end of the week you will race your modified car and the best performer wins! Each camper will be allowed to take home their RC car and equipment.

Monday-Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm (drop-off from 8:00-8:30am and pick-up from 3:30-4:00pm) At check-out, only the parent/guardian or designated alternate will be approved to sign for pick-up.

This summer camp is a partnership between the Center for Workforce, Community & Industry Partnerships and the Adirondack North Country Association, with funding support from NYSERDA.  As part of the funding support, if you are eligible for NYSED free or reduced meals through your home school district, you are also eligible for reduced summer camp tuition. During the registration process, you will be asked to verify your status in the “Letter to Parents” sent by your home school district.

Reduced Price Eligibility = 50% summer camp tuition

Free Eligibility = 75% summer camp tuition

All campers must bring a water bottle and nut-free lunch and snack each day. We do offer a daily bagged lunch, drink and snack that can be purchased for an additional $50/week. The optional bagged lunch is included as an option on the main registration page.

We do not administer medicine during the duration of the camp. Emergency medicine (inhaler, EpiPen, etc.) can be brought to camp with a valid doctor’s note.

Cancellation Policy

  • To cancel up to two weeks before camp starts, full refund minus $10 non-refundable registration fee.
  • To cancel within two weeks of camp starting, 50% refund.
  • To cancel after camp starts, no refund.
