Who is my advisor?

  1. New students will be assigned a faculty advisor upon starting their classes. Until then, they will work with their Dean’s Office or the Advising & First Year Programs Office to plan their first semester classes.
  2. Continuing students can find their faculty advisor information in the following places:
    1. RooSuccess – in My Success Network, found by clicking the three horizontal lines at the top left corner of RooSuccess.
    2. UCanWeb Student Profile – under the Student Menu, look for the UCanWeb 9 – Student Profile link.
    3. DegreeWorks – near the top of the page under your name and major.

How do I choose my classes or register for classes?

  1. Review your DegreeWorks account and note the classes needed in the Degree Requirements section. You may also need to choose a class or two from the General Education Requirements (GER) section.
  2. Schedule a meeting with your faculty advisor to discuss your classes, ask any questions you have about classes and GERs, and get your registration code.
  3. Check the Course Listings page for the date you can register for classes and register as soon as possible before your required classes fill.

Where is my registration code?

You get your registration code by talking to your faculty advisor about planning the next semester’s classes.

How do I change my major?

Log into UCanWeb and click the Student tab under the top header. Look for the appropriate link in the “Curriculum Change – Majors” card. Note: it is highly recommended that you meet with your faculty advisor and/or dean’s office to ensure that you have all the necessary information about your change of major first.

How do I declare or change a minor?

Log into UCanWeb and click the Student tab under the top header. Look for the appropriate link in the “Curriculum Change – Minors” card.
