Think you’ve got what it takes to be SUNY Canton’s best speller? Put your spelling skills to the test at our First Annual Spelling Bee Competition!

⏰ 7:00 PM

📍 Kingston Theater

🏆 How It Works

Participants will receive a number and will be randomly called in pairs to the stage to compete in a bracket-style tournament.

Each contestant will receive five words per round.

✅ Spell a word correctly = 1 point

⭐ The contestant with the most points at the end of each round advances.

🏆 The final winner will be crowned the SUNY Canton Spelling Bee Champion!

The difficulty will increase as the competition progresses:

Preliminary Rounds

Grade 7 spelling words

Quarter-Finals

Grade 8 spelling words

Semi-Finals

Hard-level spelling words

Championship Round

Championship-level spelling words

Words will be selected from the following spelling lists:
