FAFSA Delay - Admissions and Financial Aid Updates

The Department of Education has delayed processing FAFSA applications this year. This delay is impacting colleges and universities nationwide. We are here to support students through this process as we navigate this delay and work to ensure we get timely and accurate financial aid award letters.

  • SUNY Canton has extended our suggested 2024-25 FAFSA filing deadline to March 1 to allow additional filing time due to delays with the new form.
  • The preferred enrollment deposit deadline has been moved to June 1. You can request a full deposit refund through June 30.
  • If you need more time to make your decision, please send us an email at admissions@canton.edu. We will be more than happy to grant you an extension.
