FACULTY POSITION

Assistant Professor - Management

SALARY RANGE:

$65,000 - $70,000

Description of Duties

The State University of New York (SUNY) College at Canton and the School of Business and Liberal Arts invite qualified applicants for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Management position in the Business Department, beginning September 1, 2026.

This position is focused on Entrepreneurship and Management to meet the growing demand for innovation and workforce development skills.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching (4/4 course load), course development, student advisement, scholarly activity, assisting in program and curriculum development, assessment, and institutional service.
  • Delivering and developing a variety of entrepreneurship (and other business) courses in the face-to-face, online, and hybrid (flex) formats.
  • Advising students enrolled in the Business Department majors, guiding them through their academic and career pathways.
  • Contributing to the strategic initiatives of the Business Department.
  • Actively participating in faculty governance and other university service activities.
  • Engaging with local businesses, entrepreneurs, and community organizations to create partnerships that benefit students and enhance their learning experiences.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Doctorate in Entrepreneurship, Management, Leadership or equivalent (Doctorate must be completed by June 2026).
  • Ability and willingness to develop and deliver entrepreneurship and other business courses across face-to-face, online, and hybrid (flex) modalities.

Preferred:

  • College-level teaching experience in face-to-face, online, and flex (hybrid) delivery.
  • Experience teaching Entrepreneurship courses.
  • Experience or ability to teach Business Ethics courses.
  • Experience in curriculum design and development, particularly in entrepreneurship, to align with industry trends and student needs.
  • Previous entrepreneurship experience.
