SALARY RANGE:

$67,000 - $70,000

Description of Duties

The State University of New York (SUNY) College at Canton invites qualified applicants for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Veterinary Science Technology and Veterinary Service Administration Departments beginning September 1, 2026.

Responsibilities

Duties:

  • Classroom instruction and in-person laboratory instruction, including but not limited to small and large animal veterinary nursing labs, small animal surgical labs, clinical pathology labs, radiology labs, anatomy and physiology labs, and lead instruction on other courses as needed.
  • Academic advising for students, as well as student club advising, is also required.
  • Assistance with development of new curriculum and educational opportunities is also a requirement.
  • Participation in faculty committees and other activities related to university service and engagement in scholarly activities that contribute to the dissemination of knowledge in the discipline is also required.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • DVM/VMD required.
  • NY state licensure required.
