Description of Duties
The SUNY Canton Health Care Management Department invites applicants for the tenure-track position of Instructor/Assistant Professor beginning August 2022.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include teaching online and possibly flex introductory and advanced level undergraduate healthcare management courses, curriculum and course development and revision, participate in IACBE accreditation, academic advising, program and course assessments, scholarship and university service.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
For Assistant Professor Appointment: PhD in relevant discipline or Masters in the field and a minimum 7 years of senior leadership and/or executive experience in the field. FACHE certification or other certificates to be considered.
For Instructor Appointment: ABD in relevant discipline, with plans to complete PhD or Masters in the field and a minimum 7 years of senior leadership and/or executive experience in the field. FACHE certification or other certificates to be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior college teaching experience and knowledge of online teaching platforms such as Blackboard, Moodle or D2L
Experience working in Health Care Administration or Management
Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, and criminal background check.
