Please review each opportunity below: The Presidential Internship On-Campus Internship Program, Transportation, Child Care, and Housing Stipends; and Living Stipends.
According to Jobs for the Future, “Paid internships are short-term work experiences in which participants get firsthand knowledge of and exposure to jobs or career pathways by engaging in hands-on activities as they work to achieve learning objectives under structured supervision.”

Presidential Internship - On-Campus Internship Program
Presidential Internships give students the opportunity to develop career readiness skills. This includes communication, teamwork, critical thinking and problem-solving, in addition to work ethic and professionalism.

- Internships are not work-study jobs.
- Please read internship descriptions carefully before applying. Some opportunities are for students within specific majors.
- Fall 2025 intern pay is based on the hourly rate of $16.00/hour. On average, students earn $800.00 for 50 hours of work or $1,600.00 for 100 hours of work in a single semester.

Needs Based Stipends (transportation, childcare, and housing)
** Priority application deadline is Monday, September 29. Funds are limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
Students may receive up to $1,000 for transportation (i.e. gas mileage, public transportation - bus, train, etc.) and childcare assistance (childcare center or in-home care costs), or expenses associated with housing (rent, utilities, etc.) during OFF-CAMPUS FALL 2025 internship, clinical, or preceptorship experience. Students can request funds for credit-bearing or non-credit experiences.
**PLEASE NOTE: This application is for the Fall 2025 semester only. **Students traveling to sites where the College is already providing transportation are ineligible to apply for transportation support. **Students may not request funds for a friend or family member's transportation, housing, or childcare expenses.
Living Stipends for Unpaid Public Service and Non-Profit Internships
** Priority application deadline is Monday, September 29. Funds are limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
Students who secure unpaid internships with OFF-CAMPUS non-profit or public service organizations can receive up to $2,000 for a FALL 2025 internship experience. Examples of non-profit or public service organizations include law enforcement and human services agencies, hospitals, museums, public charities, public radio, and public school districts. Students may request funds for internships that are credit-bearing or non-credit.
**PLEASE NOTE: If you are enrolled in a degree-seeking program that results in state licensure or certification (Veterinary Technology, Nursing, Funeral Services, or Physical Therapist Assistant) you are ineligible for the Living Stipend. We suggest you apply for the Needs-Based stipend.
