Mission

The Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Department supports SUNY Canton’s commitment to providing a safe, healthy, and sustainable living, learning, and working environment. Our mission is to protect the campus community and surrounding environment from potential hazards associated with university activities through proactive programs, education, and collaborative partnerships with faculty, staff, and students.

Vision

The vision of the Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Department is to foster a proactive culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility where students, faculty, staff, and visitors are informed, engaged, and empowered to contribute to a safe campus community. EH&S strives to be a campus leader in promoting awareness, continuous improvement, and full compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
