Veterinary Assistant
What You'll Learn
The Veterinary Assistant microcredential will enable students to develop skills required to gain employment as a veterinary assistant. Students are taught skills such as animal breed identification; basic billing and scheduling; phone and client communication etiquette; ethics of working in the veterinary field; basic handling of all species; and basic first aid for animals and wildlife. Completion of this microcredential will allow the student to be eligible to take the Veterinary Assistant certification exam through American Allied Health.
