Mike Berman

Michael Berman

Mike Berman is the COO of Day & Nite / All Service. He is a seasoned business leader focused on turnaround and high-growth stage businesses.

Mike’s connection with SUNY Canton has grown beyond his role as Steward of the Day & Nite / All Service and SUNY Canton relationship.

Mike is giving of his time and talent, frequently serving as a guest speaker in classrooms across campus, including Business, Finance, HVAC, Heating and Plumbing, Mechanical, and Mechatronics classes. He is a Business Administration Program Advisory Board member and a School of Business and Liberal Arts Advisory Board inaugural member.

Day & Nite/All Service

In 2018, Day & Nite established the Day & Nite / Sher Family Annual Scholarship for a student studying HVAC Engineering Technology, Air Conditioning Maintenance and Repair, Heating and Plumbing Service, or Mechatronics.

During the COVID-19 Pandemic, they donated bi-polar air ionization equipment for high-traffic areas on campus and sponsored research into its efficacy.

Over the years, Day & Nite has donated over $200,000 of equipment, technology, and supplies to our engineering technology labs.

Dale Major

Dale Major '70

Dale graduated from SUNY Canton in 1970 with an associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. He spent much of his professional career, 33 years, working for Developmental Disabilities Services for New York State, providing habilitation services to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Dale has been a leadership volunteer for almost 40 years and has generously supported the College and its students in that time. He joined the Alumni Board in 1986, serving many of those years as the Board President. In 2008, he received the Distinguished Alumnus Award.

In 2009, Dale established the Dale D. Major '70 Annual Scholarship and in 2022, he endowed that fund, wanting to remove the financial barrier for students who wish to receive a SUNY Canton education.

Laura Rozell '69

Laura Rozell graduated from SUNY Canton in 1969 with her associate's degree in accounting.

Her professional career over the years has most notably included an accountant position with Von Roll Tramways, to serving as an Accountant in the public sector with the New York State Thruway and New York State Dormitory Authority, to the College Accountant and Interim CFO position at Paul Smith’s College.

In 2016, Laura established the Laura Rose Rozell ’69 Endowed Scholarship for accounting students. One year later, in 2017, she joined the Canton College Foundation Board. She stepped into the role of Board Treasurer in 2019 which she still holds today. Laura also served as the Co-chair for the 50th reunion for her Class of 1969, contacting and encouraging her classmates to come back to campus for reunion and to make a reunion gift.
