SUNY Canton Commercial Truck Training Program Open House Sept, 19

The Career Ready Education and Success Training (CREST) Center will be holding an Open house for its new commercial driver’s license training program from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 in Halford Hall.

The event is free and open to the public and is designed for community members who are interested in starting a lucrative driving career by earning a CDL-A license.

“There is a high need for drivers locally and nationwide,” said Arthur S. Garno, CREST Center Director. “We’ve developed a local certificate training program to help prepare individuals for this stable, well-paying career.”

Guests will have the opportunity to tour the college’s training truck and learn about the many benefits of local or long-distance driving.

Those interested in joining the CDL-A training program can also contact the SUNY Canton CREST Center by phone, 315-386-7197, or email
