SUNY Canton Hosts Two-Day American Red Cross Blood Drive, Sept. 23-24
Appointments are available for SUNY Canton’s two-day fall blood drive.
The American Red Cross is now scheduling appointments from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 23 and 24 in the Richard W. Miller Campus Center, room 212. Prospective donors are encouraged to schedule a donation through the American Red Cross website or the Blood Donor app.
SUNY Canton retains Premier Blood Partner status for its work with the American Red Cross, according to the college’s Director of Wellbeing Programs & Initiatives, Farren Lobdell.
“SUNY Canton is proud to support the Red Cross mission and help ensure lifesaving blood is available to those who need it most,” Lobdell said. “Our on-campus blood drives are always strengthened by the strong response from our extended community, making them a vital part of our outreach.”
The donation process takes about an hour, and donors will receive a $10 e-gift card for participating. Blood donations are used in lifesaving medical procedures. One donation can save up to three lives.
