Weather Update - All classes for Monday, January 26 are remote
SUNY Canton will switch to a remote schedule January 26, 2026 due to severe weather conditions anticipated to impact New York State.
Students: Please attend your scheduled classes online. Check your email and Brightspace for your instructor's expectations.
Faculty: Please communicate with your students about remote or online expectations. Clinicals, labs, and other hands-on classes should move online when possible (at the instructor’s discretion) or canceled. Online classes will be held as scheduled.
Staff: Essential staff should report to campus as usual. Via the NYS Office of Employee Relations: State agencies are instructed to have all non-essential employees telecommute for the entire workday where possible. Those non-essential employees who cannot telecommute are subject to a directed absence for Monday, January 26 without charge to leave accruals. Supervisors should communicate expectations and responsibilities to ensure proper office coverage.
