Program and Institutional Assessment Results

At SUNY Canton, programmatic assessment is directly linked to institutional assessment. Each program generates an assessment map, indicative of the linkage between program student learning outcomes (PSLOs) and institutional student learning outcomes (ISLOs). The map also identifies courses to be assessed throughout the program.

Courses are assessed based upon their alignment with our ISLOs. Here's our institutional cycle.

After faculty have completed their assessments and entered their findings on Taskstream, aggregate reports for each program are created and distributed to curriculum coordinators. Curriculum coordinators then report out on their program’s findings at our annual Deans’ Symposia, held each January. Below, you can access the annual program reports from the inception of our current cycle approach to the previous calendar year.
