Advancing Success in Associate Pathways (ASAP) | Advancing Completion through Engagement (ACE)
ASAP|ACE Benefits
ASAP|ACE is reserved for active participants who are able to fully engage. All ASAP|ACE students in receipt of at least $1 in federal or NYS grant aid will receive the following financial supports:
- Cost of Attendance award (up to $550/year after financial aid has been applied)
- Fully dedicated academic advisor
- Leadership and career development
- Textbook assistance ($150/semester)
- Monthly stipend (up to $200/semester)
Eligibility
To be eligible for admission through ASAP|ACE, you must meet all the criteria below:
- U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen (NYS DREAM Act students also eligible)
- Eligible for in-state tuition
- Pell eligible and receive at least $1 or Pell Aid at point of enrollment (students in the process of completing financial aid may be conditionally accepted into the program)*
- Full-time student
- High school diploma or GED
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) application.
- Note: Students from mixed status families are now eligible to apply for NYS financial aid without completing the FAFSA at the HESC Alternative Eligibility Path. Students may also reach out to ASAP|ACE staff to learn more about their options to apply for NYS aid.
- Receive at least $1 of federal Pell or NYS grant aid (TAP or Excelsior).
- Agree to participate in required program activities
- Entering students must be first-time freshmen, excluding any credits earned while in high school, or if transferring in, must already possess an associate degree.
Note: All majors are eligible.
* For Fall 2025, Students are not required to be in receipt of Pell but must be in receipt of at least $1 of federal or state financial aid.
