Drone Surveillance Microcredential

Fly to new heights in the Drone Surveillance microcredential where you will gain knowledge required for positions where drones are used. The drone surveillance microcredential combines a credit bearing course and a non-credit drone and forensic mapping training. First, you will study geographic information systems and their use in public safety and crime mapping. Then, through the non-credit training, you will learn specific skills associated with drone operation and 2D/3D crime mapping, including tactical surveillance, orthomosaic mapping, and various software systems. The non-credit training includes FAA regulations (Part 107), sectional charts, weather basics, TAF, flying basics, preprogrammed flights for 2D and 3D mock crime scenes and Precision mapping to include CAD import.  This training does not culminate with an FAA license. This microcredential is intended for anyone interested in beginning the process of flying drones.
