Academic Resources

We understand that one of your top priorities while you’re in quarantine or isolation is staying on top of your studies.  You might be worried about the classes you are missing in person, and want to know how to keep up academically.  Please check out the information provided below for all the ways we can support you during your quarantine or isolation.

Excused Absences

While you are in quarantine or isolation, with your express permission, we can notify your faculty that you are not able to attend in-person classes during the designated period provided to you by Public Health. To request that we notify the faculty of any of your in-person/face-to-faces courses/labs/clinicals/internships of your quarantine or isolation, please email bish@canton.edu with the following information:

  • Your name and student ID number
  • The dates for your quarantine or isolation provided to you by Public Health or the Davis Health Center (we will confirm this information)
  • The names of any faculty you wish for us to notify

Please Note: You are expected to continue to attend your online/remote/flex classes during quarantine or isolation unless you are very ill and not able to complete the work. In those cases, please communicate with the Davis Health Center so we can develop the best plan for you.
